Downtown Street Alert

Downtown streets will be impacted over the next few days by the Protected Bike Lane Pop-up (2/1) and the NHL Centennial Fan Arena (2/2-2/5).  See the street closure information below.  Plan ahead for an alternative route or added travel time.

The following street impacts have been authorized by the City of St. Louis; reopening times are subject to change at the discretion of the police.

Protected Bike Lane Pop-up
Wednesday, February 1st
Pine Street between 7th Street and 9th Street

This pop-up bike lane demonstration will help area residents and city officials learn more about the potential benefits of a permanent protected bike lane in this location.  As the City of St. Louis starts a Downtown Transportation Plan, the pop-up lane will demonstrate how to improve safety and bike-ability in St. Louis!

  • Pine Street lanes will shift between 7th Street and 9th Street, but shall remain open throughout the entire day

3:00 p.m.

  • Pine Street will resume normal lane structure

NHL Centennial Fan Arena
February 2nd – 5th

The NHL Centennial Fan Arena is part of the NHL’s Centennial festivities honoring a century’s worth of extraordinary players, teams, remarkable plays and unforgettable moments.  The experience, which will be located in front of Central Library at 1301 Olive Street, is free of charge and open to fans of all ages.

Central Library is also the home of the Blues’ “50 Years of Blood, Sweat and Cheers – A Tribute to the St. Louis Blues and their Fans“, open Monday – Saturday through March 4th.
