Downtown Street Alert

Downtown streets will be impacted over the next few days by the Schlafly Stout and Oyster Festival (3/10-3/11), the St. Patrick’s Day 5-mile run, and the 48th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade (3/11).  See the street closure information below.  Plan ahead for an alternative route or added travel time.

The following street impacts have been authorized by the City of St. Louis; reopening times are subject to change at the discretion of the police.

Run Route: The run begins at Broadway and Clark Street, heads south on Broadway, west on Chouteau Avenue, north on Tucker Boulevard, west on Market Street, north on Garrison Avenue, east on Laclede Avenue, north on Ewing Avenue, east on Olive Street, south on Tucker Boulevard, east on Market Street and finish at 8th Street and Market Street.

    • 20th Street will close from Market Street to Pine Street
    • 64/40 Exit 38D (20th Street and Chestnut Street) will close

    • 22nd Street will close from Clark Street to Market Street
    • 23rd Street will close from Market Street to Olive Street
  • 9:00 a.m.
    • Run begins at Broadway and Walnut Street
      • All streets impacted by the run will reopen on a rolling basis once all participants have passed that portion of the route (Race is expected to be complete by 11:30 a.m.)
    • 64/40 Exit 38B (Garrison Avenue) will close
    • Clark Street will close from 22nd Street to Jefferson Avenue
  • 10:00 a.m.
    • Tucker Boulevard will close from Walnut Street to Chestnut Street
  • 12:00 p.m.
    • Parade begins at 20th Street and Market Street (Aloe Plaza)
      • All streets impacted by the parade will reopen on a rolling basis once all participants have passed that portion of the route (Parade is expected to be complete by 2:30 p.m.)
  • 9:00 p.m.
    • All additional streets impacted by the parade will reopen
