Downtown Street Alert

Downtown streets will be impacted over the next few days, by We Are Alexander’s Dodgeball Tournament (5/4), the Rosalita’s Cantina Cinco de Mayo Festival (5/5) and the American Heart Association’s St. Louis Heart Walk (5/6).  See the street closure information below.  Plan ahead for an alternative route or added travel time.

  • 6 a.m.
    • Washington Avenue will close from Tucker Boulevard to 14th Street
    • 13th Street will close from St. Charles Street to Lucas Avenue
  • 3 p.m.
    • Dodgeball Tournament begins
  • 9 p.m.
    • Dodgeball Tournament concludes
The streets will remain closed for the Cinco de Mayo Festival.

    • Washington Avenue remains closed, from Tucker Boulevard to 14th Street
    • 13th Street remains closed, from St. Charles Street to Lucas Avenue
  • 11 a.m.
    • The Cinco de Mayo Festival opens
  • 11 p.m.
    • The outdoor portion of the festival concludes
The streets will close on Saturday, at the discretion of the police.

St. Louis Heart Walk
Saturday, May 6th
Walk Route: Walkers begin at Busch Stadium gate 4, head North on 7th Street, West on Pine Street, South on 10th Street, East on Market Street, South on 8th Street, West through the Nestle Purina campus to exit at 11th Street and Chouteau, East on Chouteau, North on 7th Street, to finish inside Busch Stadium.

Saturday, May 6th

  • 8:30 a.m.
    • 8th Street will close, between Cerre and Market
    • Market will close, between 10th Street and 7th Street
    • 7th Street will close, between Market and Pine
    • Pine will close, between 7th Street and 10th Street
    • 10th Street will close, between Pine and Market
  • 8:45 a.m.
    • The walk will begin at Busch Stadium
    • Streets along the route will close on a rolling basis
    • Streets will reopen, once all walkers have cleared that portion of the route
  • 11:45 a.m.
    • All streets along the route should be reopened
