Downtown Street Alert

September, 9th 2015

Several Downtown streets will be impacted this weekend by the Walk to End Alzheimer’s (9/12), the Great Fire Engine Rally (9/12), and the Cardinals Care 6K (9/13).  See the street closure information below.  Plan ahead for an alternative route or added travel time.

Saturday, September 12th
Walk Begins at 9:30am
14th Street and Clark

Saturday, September 12th
Walk Route: Start at 14th Street and Clark, head east on Clark, north on Tucker, east on Market, south on 8th Street, continues south on 7th Street, west on Chouteau, south on Tucker, turn around at Park Avenue, head north on Tucker, west on Clark, finish at 14th and Clark.

  • 9:00 am
    • Ceremony begins at 14th Street and Clark
    • Streets along Walk Route will begin to close and will reopen once all walkers have cleared that portion of the route
  • 9:30 am
    • Walk begins
  • 12:00 pm
    • Walk concludes

Parade Route: Parade begins at 20th Street and Market, heads east on Market, north on Tucker, west on Pine, south on 20th Street, east on Chestnut, and finishes at 13th Street and Chestnut.

    • Parade staging begins at Jefferson and Market
    • Streets along the parade route will begin to close
  • 10:00 am
    • Parade begins
    • Streets along the route will reopen once all parade goers have cleared the area
  • 11:00 am
    • Parade concludes

Sunday, September 13th
Run Route: Start at 8th Street and Spruce, head north on 8th Street, west on Market, north on 11th Street, east on Chestnut, south on 7th Street, west on Walnut, south on 8th Street, east on Clark, south on Broadway, continue south on 7th Street, turn around at Lafayette, head north on 7th Street and continue north on Broadway, west on Chouteau, north on 7th Street, finish at Busch Stadium.

  • 8:00 am
    • Streets along run route will begin to close on a rolling basis and will reopen once all runners have cleared that portion of the route
  • 8:06 am
    • Run begins
  • 11:00 am
    • Event and festival concludes
