Join us for Soulful Sunday featuring Kingdom Brothers performing live in the Lumière Place Legends Room at the National Blues Museum.
“The Blues Don’t Have to be Sad”. Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Kingdom Brothers combines blues, R&B, and gospel influences into a powerful sound with a positive message. They credit their sound to the timeless influence of the blues greats – Albert King, Muddy Waters, Otis Rush – The Blues, to name a few, and the power and spirit of groups like the Blind Boys of Alabama and the Dixie Hummingbirds.
With the soulful vocal delivery of Chris Shepherd, a high energy rhythm section, Kingdom Brothers create a memorable effect you’ll want to experience over and over again. Toss in that Ron Roskowske bottleneck slide, crank it to eleven, and you’ll be looking for tickets to their next show.
**NOW FEATURING: Drummer Popcorn Louden has agreed to take over for Joe. Popcorn played drums for Buddy Miles for ten years, toured with Lucky Peterson, Michael Burks and too many others to list here. It’s in his DNA as his uncle played guitar for Chicago legend Koko Taylor. **
Doors open at 3 PM and live music is 4 PM – 7 PM.
Tickets are $15 and seating is first come, first served. Combo Ticket $25 – includes standard admission to the concert and admission to the museum. Tickets can be purchased in advance, or in person the night of the show at the National Blues Museum Box Office, 615 Washington Avenue, St. Louis, 63101. For more information, call 314-925-0016 ext. 405.
*You can upgrade to a Combo Ticket at the NBM box office.
