This Friday at 8 pm, MoDOT is closing a second lane of westbound Poplar Street Bridge (PSB), from Illinois into Downtown.
The closure will allow crews to construct a new driving surface on the right lanes of westbound PSB; the lanes are scheduled to remain closed until July. Although the bridge will remain open during construction, drivers may want to consider using alternate routes between Illinois and Downtown, including:
- MetroLink
- The Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge
- The Eads Bridge
- The Martin Luther King Bridge
The closed westbound lanes of PSB are scheduled to reopen by early July.
Other important dates:
- Mid-May: The ramp from westbound PSB to eastbound I-44 will reopen
- Late-May: The ramp to southbound I-55 will close for a month for reconstruction
