Record Crowd Expected for NCAA Championship

ncaa2Beginning today, we welcome 330 wrestlers, more than 16,000 visiting fans, plus hundreds of out-of-town student-athletes, coaches, administrators and national media for the NCAA National Wrestling Championship! The crowds and energy this event brings to Downtown has been a mid-March treat for local businesses and the hospitality industry for years. More than 90 percent of those attending the Championships come from outside St. Louis. Most will stay at least three nights resulting in millions of dollars in direct visitor spending.

These 330 athletes wrestled their way to St. Louis from a pool of 2,478 wrestlers. The sessions begin today and by Saturday night, 10 wrestlers will have advanced through the brackets and be crowned national champions. Check out the schedule below.
