This Saturday, the US Women’s National Soccer Team (U.S. WNT) plays New Zealand at Busch Stadium, in their first domestic game of 2015! The game kicks off at 2:30 pm, with a soccer-themed pep-rally beginning at noon at Ballpark Village.
Although Downtown St. Louis has seen our fair share of Clubs from England, Spain and Italy and national teams from Europe, Africa and South America, one thing has been missing… our home team.
Saturday is the first US soccer match in St. Louis in over seven years, as well as a special homecoming for St. Louis natives, Becky Sauerbrunn and Lori Chalupny. Both have officially made the 25-player roster for Saturday’s game.
Prior to the game, Busch II at BPV is going to be the ultimate destination for soccer fans of all ages, just steps away from Busch Stadium!
