St. Louis Steps Into the National Sports Spotlight
Last weekend, Downtown St. Louis buzzed with energy as sports fans filled the streets for high-profile games and national tournaments. While major league teams often take the spotlight (Congratulations to our city’s playoff-bound St. Louis Blues!), events like the Frozen Four — the NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Championship — are drawing new crowds to the heart of the region.
"Hosting the Frozen Four is a huge event for us in that it shows we are in the upper echelon of venues and cities that have the capability of hosting major hockey events,” said St. Louis Blues Chief Communications Officer Roger Hacker.
“It all goes back to when the venue got renovated in 2019 and these events don’t come without that improvement in the venue. To get that renovation done, to be able to work with the St. Louis Sports Commission to get events like this, it’s everything that we want to be to hockey in St. Louis." (Sports Travel Magazine)
